Wendy Moth Sketch

I met a moth on my way to class. She was very big and fluffy, and since I love moths I picked her up and carried her to class with me. I let her go in a tree outside class, and was inspired to do her portrait for one of our colored pencil sketches. This is not the way I normally use colored pencils but I like how it came out. This is a practice sample for the colored pencil on toned paper assignment.

I am having one of my obsessions recently and this time it is with insects... in a few minutes I'll be posting another toned paper bug who is Wendy's sister.
